On April 21, the NC Chamber hosted U.S. Department of Agriculture Assistant Secretary for Congressional and External Relations Ken Barbic for a digital discussion about how the USDA is working to protect the agriculture community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar can be accessed here.

- Food supply challenges and the USDA’s efforts to align the interests of various stakeholders across supply chains to ensure continued production and delivery of agricultural products;
- The impacts of COVID-19 on H-2A temporary agricultural workers;
- Federal relief programs impacting agriculture, including the Families First Act, the CARES Act, the Paycheck Protection Program and the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program;
- Ongoing discussions in Congress about a potential Phase 4 bill to provide additional relief to U.S. businesses, including the agriculture sector.
