Lucinda Eastwood is the executive assistant to general counsel. In this role, she handles a variety of support-related tasks with flexibility, resourcefulness, and efficiency. An alumna of William Peace University, Lucinda previously worked at Duke Energy for more than 30 years before joining the NC Chamber in 2016. She appreciates the flexibility of her position and that each day presents new challenges and opportunities.

Lucinda’s role allows her to be an effective contributor of the organization’s mission and vision while implementing the core values of courageous, transparent communication and accountability. She believes in the words of Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

Lucinda has lived in North Carolina her entire life, growing up in Fremont, a small town in the eastern part of the state. She’s proud to be from a town, the backbone and beginning to all our state has grown to be, and she believes the state will only get better. Lucinda and her husband, David, visit Fremont as often as they can to see family and hope to retire in that community which offers a slower pace of life.
