Janel Boyd is the executive assistant for the Member Engagement and Communications teams. With more than 25 years of executive-level administrative experience, Janel uses her talents to provide support that enhances the NC Chamber’s mission by partnering her team with business organizations and job creators across North Carolina. She enjoys helping others and knowing that her contributions provide a foundation which benefits the entire organization.
Janel enjoys her role at the NC Chamber, where she has the opportunity to work with others from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are not only skilled at what they do, but who also believe in each other and support the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Whether the team is advocating for legislative initiatives or advancing the business community’s success, she is proud to work with individuals who empower one another to be their best selves.
Outside of work, Janel spends time with her husband and 15-year-old daughter. Together, they watch movies, play board games, go for walks, and debate. Janel also delights in seeing her grandchildren and sister. She believes in making decisions based on facts rather than emotion and is inspired by the words of her middle school mantra found in the book of Luke the Bible, “To whom much is given, much is required.”
