Kirk O’Steen joined the NC Chamber in October of 2021. In his role as political director, Kirk leads the Chamber’s electioneering operations and advises members on the current political landscape in North Carolina. He also manages the NC Chamber’s political action committee and coordinates the release of the annual How They Voted publication.
Kirk brings valuable experience from working in state politics as a staffer in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Additionally, he served a successful stint at the North Carolina House Republicans Caucus as political director during the 2020 election.
At N.C. State University, Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration. He’s also a graduate of the North Carolina Community College System; Kirk received an Associate of Arts from Nash Community College through its dual enrollment program.
Residing in Knightdale, Kirk and his wife, Kathryn, enjoy playing video games, watching hockey, and going to concerts.
