Peter Daniel Jr. joined the NC Chamber government affairs team in January 2020. Serving as government affairs director, Peter works with the North Carolina General Assembly, State Departments, and Agencies on behalf of NC Chamber members. In his role, he advocates for agriculture, environmental and regulatory, energy, labor, and telecommunications policies that benefit North Carolina’s competitive economy, while defending against those that threaten North Carolina’s ability to attract, keep, and grow jobs.

A graduate of N.C. State University, Peter earned a B.S. in Agriculture Business Management and a master’s in Public Administration from the institution. Before joining the NC Chamber, Peter worked in various government affairs roles and learned the importance of continuously building relationships.

Peter appreciates working alongside his team members to advocate for commonsense collaborations and reforms in the Executive Branch and the General Assembly which promote the interests of our members and enhance the business climate in North Carolina.

Peter, a Raleigh native, and his wife, Michaila, live in Garner and spend time with their families, enjoying the outdoors.
