Vanessa Gray serves as the NC Chamber’s communications manager. In her role, she summarizes complex topics in an easily digestible way for our various audiences and focuses on education, workforce, economic development, health care, environmental, and manufacturing. She enjoys working for an organization that looks out for the best interests of our state’s short- and long-term economy and supporting its businesses.

Vanessa completed her undergraduate degree in communications and public relations at N.C. State University and went on to obtain her master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University.

Originally from North Carolina, Vanessa grew up in Greensboro and still sees our state as the best place to live due to its booming business climate, mix of beaches and mountains, and southern hospitality being a big part of our culture, even in the larger cities. In her free time, she enjoys following college football and basketball (Go Wolfpack!), cooking, baking, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Luke, and their daughter, Nora. Vanessa also enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally and has visited 13 countries, trying to see a new country every few years.
