As the exclusive state affiliate for the National Association of Manufacturers, the NC Chamber is proud to celebrate our state’s leading employer industry and one of its most important engines for technology development and innovation in our state. On Friday, Oct. 2, manufacturers across the country, including dozens in North Carolina, will participate in Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) by opening their doors to their local communities and students. Additional events will continue to be held throughout the month of October.

NC Chamber member Bell & Howell is just one of the many North Carolina manufacturers with plans to join in the October celebrations for MFG Day. Bell & Howell operates a number of high-tech, mixed-manufacturing facilities that specialize in the production of finishing solutions for use in a variety of industries, from banking and insurance to public utilities. On Friday, Oct. 16, they will host an open house event for employers at their Durham facility, with plant tours running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The address for this event is 3791 S.
