You’re Invited: Medication Optimization Collaboration Summit

You’re invited to attend the Medication Optimization Collaboration Summit, which will convene senior leaders from health systems, employers, providers, insurers, pharmacists, patient groups, and regulators to discuss solutions to achieve health care value. The summit, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy, will be held on January 16th, 2019 at The Carolina Inn.

The goal of this event is to showcase successful examples of payer and provider collaborations with a focus on how medication optimization fits into new value-based frameworks. Dr. Patrick Conway, president and CEO of NC Chamber Cornerstone member BlueCross and BlueShield of North Carolina will deliver the lunch keynote and I am slated to join a panel discussion on stakeholder collaboration and aligning value-based goals. You’ll also hear case studies from around the country on medication optimization and there will be an opportunity to participate in facilitated work groups to help develop strategies to enable employers and patients to achieve better value in health care.

We know that the key to driving transformative change is having employers engaged and willing to act. That’s why it is imperative that you have a voice at the table. If we’re serious about bringing value-driven health care to North Carolina, then we, the business community, must work with all of the stakeholders across the health care supply chain to make it happen, and it all starts with conversations like those we’ll have on the 16th. I hope to see you there.
