NC Chamber Supports Confirmations of Bledsoe, Gillen and Goodman

Ahead of Hearings, State Chamber Calls on General Assembly to Confirm Nominees

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC Chamber today released the following statement regarding the appointment of the Honorable Louis Bledsoe to the North Carolina Business Court, as well as the appointments of Representative Ken Goodman and James Gillen to the North Carolina Industrial Commission.

“The NC Chamber supports Judge Louis Bledsoe’s reappointment to serve on the North Carolina Business Court, as well as the appointments of Representative Ken Goodman and Mr. James Gillen to serve on the North Carolina Industrial Commission,” said Gary J. Salamido, COO and acting president of the NC Chamber. “Be it complex cases on commercial law heard in the Business Court or a workers’ compensation claim before the Industrial Commission, North Carolina’s business community needs certainty that balls and strikes will be called fairly. The NC Chamber is confident that Judge Bledsoe, Representative Goodman and Mr. Gillen will do just that in their respective roles and urges the General Assembly to confirm their appointments.
