Statewide Business Community’s Political Arm Endorses Wilmington’s Longtime Jobs Champion
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC Chamber PAC today endorsed Michael Lee’s bid for North Carolina Senate in the 2020 general election. Representing the statewide business community, the NC Chamber PAC supports candidates whose professional backgrounds and voting records demonstrate a commitment to preserving and enhancing a positive climate for business and job creation in North Carolina.
“As North Carolina continues to grow and thrive, Michael Lee has been instrumental in standing up for his community and the pro-growth policies that fuel our state’s success,” said Gary Salamido, president and CEO of the NC Chamber. “From his support for a strong education system that prepares our students for tomorrow’s jobs to his efforts to build a better business climate and create jobs, he has stood up for New Hanover County. We are proud to endorse Michael Lee for the N.C. Senate because we know he has what it takes to keep North Carolina moving forward.”
Michael Lee is running for election in Senate District 9, which spans the majority of New Hanover County. During his previous time representing that district, he was a leader on education issues and led efforts to improve North Carolina’s legal climate and infrastructure systems. Lee was also deeply involved with work to address New Hanover County’s water quality concerns.
