NC Chamber reacts to OSHA ETS rule on vaccine mandates

North Carolina’s employers have consistently worked to keep communities safe, shifting to produce much-sought PPE, keeping food and other essential products moving to market, developing and scaling the vaccines so vital to fostering our forward momentum, and protecting lives and livelihoods across our state. OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) will have broad and significant impacts on these businesses and the 21 different industry sectors we represent. Despite a suggestion of urgency, this process and the timelines provided are anything but, serving only to inject more uncertainty for employers already tackling unprecedented talent shortages and supply-chain challenges. The NC Chamber is currently focused on connecting with our members and providing their feedback to N.C. Labor Commissioner Josh Dobson as he reviews the text of the rule and determines the appropriate response for North Carolina.
