The NC Chamber is immensely supportive of the sustainable, diversified funding model for transportation included in the budget signed into law today. Sales tax is collected on a number of transportation expenses, so it is refreshing to see transportation dollars dedicated to transportation purposes. We commend state leaders for their collaboration on a sustainable revenue stream for key infrastructure investments. We are also encouraged to see economic development prioritized across the state, highlighting once again North Carolina’s position as a top destination for jobs investment.
