Today NC Chamber President and CEO Gary J. Salamido issued the following statement regarding a federal spending package.

“Job creators stand with the people of Western North Carolina. Congress must act on a spending bill that prioritizes recovery for people who have been waiting for nearly three months. This is our state’s Katrina and Congressional action is long overdue. North Carolina’s bipartisan delegation is working to get the people of Western NC the relief they need and we encourage all federal officials to support every effort to make that happen. The people of Western North Carolina cannot wait any longer.”
