The NC Chamber supports House Bill 765: Save the American Dream Act and will score this important workforce housing bill as a key vote.

Research shows that North Carolina is facing a significant housing inventory gap that is only expected to increase with our projected job and population growth. Notably, recent polling indicates that 68% of North Carolina voters agree, “local counties, cities, and towns make it too hard to find enough housing the average person can afford.” 

Accessible and available housing is essential to supporting our communities, strengthening infrastructure, and creating an environment where both workers and businesses can thrive. The policy in House Bill 765 is a critical step forward in realizing that opportunity across North Carolina.
