NC Chamber Announces Strategic MOU with the Mexican Business Council for Trade, Investment, and Technology
The NC Chamber is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Mexican Business Council for Trade, Investment, and Technology (COMCE), one of Mexico’s most established and influential private-sector trade organizations. This agreement marks an important step in strengthening North Carolina’s economic ties with one of the United States’ most critical global partners.
The agreement comes as global supply chains continue to shift. Mexico has become a leading destination for manufacturing investment moving from Asia to North America, and companies on both sides of the border are seeking stable, strategic partners. Through its statewide reach and partnership with the North Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the NC Chamber is uniquely positioned to help North Carolina serve as a preferred entry point for Latin American trade and investment. This MOU helps ensure our business community is at the forefront of that shift.
A formal relationship between the NC Chamber and COMCE will expand market access for North Carolina companies, open new pathways for foreign direct investment, and support job creation through stronger supplier networks and international ventures. It also provides our members with a direct channel to Mexican business leadership at a time when trade renegotiations may introduce new uncertainties.
This partnership is both a recognition of the ties between North Carolina and Mexico and a forward-looking step toward a more competitive, resilient, and globally connected economic future. It builds on the NC Chamber’s continued focus on global engagement and comes at a moment when more countries are looking to North Carolina as a strategic and welcoming partner for shared economic growth.
