Dana Magliola is the Sr. Director of Infrastructure Competitiveness for the North Carolina Chamber Foundation. In this role, he leads the NC Chamber Foundation’s long-term strategy, planning, and research agenda focused on the full spectrum of infrastructure.

Prior to joining the NC Chamber Foundation, Magliola led the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Statewide Multimodal Freight and Logistics Program. Magliola joined NCDOT in 2018 from NC State University, where he was the director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) at the Poole College of Management, as well as served as the supply chain management subject matter expert for NC State’s Industrial Extension Service.

Dana is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned his MBA with a supply chain management concentration from NC State University. He began his career with Danish container shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk and later worked for the freight forwarding division of UPS Logistics. Magliola is a member of the advisory board of the Collaborative Sciences Center for Road Safety (CSCRS), and the NCDOT Office of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Outreach Board.

Beyond supply chain and infrastructure, Dana is the long-time volunteer head coach of the nationally-ranked NC State University intercollegiate sailing team; the Commissioner of the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA) Conference; and speaks regularly on youth leadership development through athletics to a wide spectrum of audiences. In 2024, he was inducted into the ICSA College Sailing Hall of Fame for lifetime achievement and volunteer service to the sport. Magliola lives in Raleigh with his wife and two sons.
