Derek Steed serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Glen Raven, Inc., a global textile manufacturer headquartered in North Carolina. Previously he served as outside general counsel and business attorney for closely held businesses.
Steed earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from West Virginia Wesleyan College and law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He is active in numerous community organizations including past service as chairman of the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce, Alamance County Economic Development Foundation, the United Way of Alamance County and as a Trustee of Alamance Community College. Steed serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Chamber and as a member of the board of advisors of the Elon University Love School of Business.
