Tonia Ostanek serves as the NC Chamber’s accounting administrator. Tonia enjoys numbers but also sees accounting as a blend of analysis, detective work, effective communication, and collaboration with people just as much as engagement with spreadsheets. She continually seeks out learning and growth opportunities within her job to best help others.
She received her BA in psychology from Meredith College and AS in accounting from Chattanooga State College. Before joining the NC Chamber in 2020, Tonia worked for more than 10 years at local trucking and logistics companies in accounting, office management, and human relations roles. She now takes pride in being part of an organization with commitments to community spirit and seeing the whole team take care of one another while providing opportunity to grow.
Tonia believes in continuing to learn and to not be satisfied with the status quo, both professionally and personally. When Tonia is not running the numbers, she can be found making one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that incorporate semi-precious stones, pearls, and vintage trinkets. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.
