Protecting Our Legal Climate
While North Carolina is the top state in which to do business, our legal climate falls behind many other states. We will protect competitive aspects of our legal climate, such as contributory negligence, our workers compensation system, medical malpractice reform and others, while also advancing reforms that reestablish North Carolina’s position as a top-10 state for legal business climate. We will act swiftly on harmful practices such as third-party litigation investment and proposals that would relax our statutes of repose and product liability limitations.
