North Carolina’s energy dependence has never been greater.
As the state continues to experience exponential growth, it is more important now than ever before that North Carolina has a comprehensive, environmentally responsible strategy in place to ensure every corner of the state has access to efficient and affordable energy.
That’s why the NC Chamber advocates for a forward-thinking, “all-of-the-above” energy strategy that supports grid modernization and improves access to renewables, solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, natural gas, oil, coal and nuclear power.
As the second best state in the nation for solar energy, North Carolina has what it takes to develop and expand the state’s energy sector – especially with projects like the Atlantic Coast Pipeline in the works. If we’re to power North Carolina’s competitive economy in the years to come, the state must diversify available energy sources to meet our state’s growing energy needs.
