July 15, 2020
The NC Chamber’s Government Affairs team has made their way through another legislative session, this time while social distancing and navigating a plethora of COVID-19 related legislation. As usual, the team fought for priorities set by the Board in the Chamber’s legislative agenda, with overwhelmingly positive results. They worked closely with a range of coalition partners and communicated frequently with key policymakers and decision-makers to protect and further North Carolina’s enviable business climate and status as one of the best states in the country in which to do business. We now look forward to hearing them share their observations, experiences, and takeaways in this exclusive, member’s only session.
While the 2020 legislative session is not technically over (is it ever), it is arguably about as close as it’s going to get. With that in mind, and with the political season in almost full swing, we invite you to join us in a discussion with the team to recap the finished and unfinished business of the legislative branch and to offer some reflections on where we go from here.
- Facilitator: Ray Starling, General Counsel and President of the NC Chamber Legal Institute
- Debra Derr, Director of Government Affairs
- Mark Coggins, Director of Government Affairs
- Peter Daniel, Jr., Government Affairs Manager
This event is exclusively for NC Chamber and Federation Members. Members will receive invitations through email.
