Start Planning Today for Fifth Annual MFG Day and Help Celebrate Manufacturers’ Contributions to NC

Mark your calendars today to make sure your organization is among the North Carolina job creators taking part in the fifth annual Manufacturing Day (MFG DAY) celebration, set for Oct. 7. Supported by a group of national industry sponsors and co-producers, MFG DAY offers manufacturers across the nation the chance to showcase the many contributions they bring to their local and state communities. Whether it’s a job fair, factory tour, product demonstration or other community engagement activity, how your company chooses to celebrate is all up to you!

This year, MFG DAY organizers will be offering a number of exciting new features to make it easier for your company to plan an event. A new online event registration form provides hosts with a number of new features to simplify the registration process, including options to define the time slots you wish to accept visitors and determine a maximum number of visitors for an event. And the newly reorganized resource section of the official MFG DAY website helps you find the exact resources you will need to plan specific types of events. Visit the official MFG DAY website to learn more about this exciting opportunity and start planning your company’s event today.

While the official date for MFG DAY is set for Oct. 7, and most manufacturers choose to schedule their events on or close to the official date, any day of the year is fair game to celebrate MFG DAY. As the sole state affiliate for the National Association of Manufacturers (a key partner in organizing MFG DAY), the NC Chamber offers assistance to our members hosting MFG DAY events by building awareness about specific events through email messages. In the coming weeks we will be sending out a survey to collect information about your events. Stay tuned.
