Business Community Thankful for Trogdon’s Leadership

The NC Chamber today released the following statement upon the announcement that Secretary Jim Trogdon is retiring from his role leading the North Carolina Department of Transportation:

“Secretary Trogdon’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming North Carolina’s transportation infrastructure and the state’s competitive economy,” said Gary J. Salamido, president and CEO of the NC Chamber. “Prior to leading the NCDOT, Secretary Trogdon was a powerful advocate who helped secure desperately needed infrastructure funding reforms and was integral to establishing the state’s Strategic Transportation Investments. He has remained a strong ally to North Carolina’s business community, understanding the inextricable link between infrastructure and North Carolina’s ability to compete for job growth and economic development.”

Salamido continued, “The NC Chamber wishes to thank Secretary Trogdon for his service to our country and our great state. North Carolina’s business community is grateful for his commitment to strengthening our state’s transportation infrastructure networks.”
