The NC Chamber supports Senate Bill 24: Govt Mandates Increase Healthcare Costs and plans to score this vote. We encourage members of the NC Senate to vote today to pass this bill.

Employer-sponsored health care is essential to retain a talented workforce. Businesses and the people they employ are the real payors to the health care system, and they want accessibility, predictability, and affordability in their health care. Increased costs in the system, through any means, but also including additional mandates, do not help us maintain our competitive position as a state.

We urge members of the NC Senate to support this bill to avoid increased costs in the health care system.
